Past peak but I am glad we had this wine to compare against the superior 2002. Floral, raspberry and vegetal quality. Short finish and drink 5 years ago.
Superior to the 2001. Medium purple with aromas of cherry, spices, wood, blueberries and oak. Complex and multi-layered wine. Medium to long finish and drinking well now but could age a few more years.

Amazing stuff with blueberries, spice, cherry, plums and earth. Complex wine and long finish. Not a power house but very aromatic and tasty. Drink now or cellar for five years. Wonderful!

This is the best Merlot I have tasted from California for under $50. Again a great showing with cherry, spice, blueberries, earth and tannins are smooth. Long finish and elegant. I could drink this wine every night and a certain top ten visit again for the year in review 2012.
A better wine but among the California Merlots it didn't show too well. Light wine with raspberry, minerals and cherry. Medium finish. Hold and see if it improves. Not as good as previous efforts that were sampled a few days later and reviewed.

Still drinking well but not as good as last time. Pinneapple, subtle oak, vanilla and apple. Medium finish.
