Quite a rich, slightly creamy nose. Quite floral and slightly honied. Good extract here. Really quite grippy on the minerally finish. A touch of spice too. Again, needs time. ***(*)

Less expressive nose. Slightly lactic. Again, decent grip but still quite subdued. Needs time. ***(*)

Quite a delicate, floral, slightly mandarin scented nose. Some mineral and quite clean on the palate. Lacks grip and intensity though. A bit wishy washy. A nice drink but lacks some class. ***

A flub of creamy oak on the nose - quite subdued but present. A slightly smokey attack. Quite mineral but also quite neutral through the mid-palate. Decent length, quite persistent. Good, though not great, weight and intensity. Bare ***(*). Will do well to turn out as well as the 99.

Freshly mown grass and a touch of silage on the nose that morphs in to blue cheese. Proper intensity and grip on the palate. Linear. Not showing a lot of complexity. Could be ok but there's an element of doubt that I can't quite define. **(*1/2)

A touch more honied on the nose. Passion fruit and a generally tropical sense of flavour. Reasonably styled texture/weight. Classy new world wannabe burgundy? Quite interesting and ***1/2 for what it is, but no typicity.

Slightly lactic, floral nose. Quite restrained and pretty. Decent weight. Good minerality and cut though - wouldn't pick this as 05. I like this. ****

Pale. Very sappy, green, fresh nose. Herbal, almost grassy. Very pale. Intense, grippy and green. Promising but I can see this going the way of the 02 and lacking length. ***(1/2-*)

Something not quite clean on the nose here - old something or other, hay maybe. Quite distinctive. More typical on palate. Mineral but also quite rounded. Very short though. Falls away completely. Shows promise but doesn't follow through - I feel a bit shortchanged. ***

Nicely rounded and intense. Getting to maturity. Rounded quite intense. A saline, slightly iodine nose. Nicely intense. Good minerality. Lacks a bit of length on the finish, and some intensity, but that's nit picking. ***1/2

Decanted an hour. Quite rounded nose with some mandarin, iodine and a degree of intensity. Really quite proper. By the time the reds have been poured this is starting to open up and show its stuff.proper intensity and length. Mineral, but a degree of complexity beyond this. Lovely. ****1/2

Quite clean on the nose. Big and burly on the palate. There's some good chablis character in here but it needs a while to calm down and meld. Quite broad but good minerality. **(**)

More classic of the three reds. Redfruit, some grip and acidity. Hard to evaluate after an evening of chablis. Decent enough. ***

Burnt rubber crossed with bovril. No. Doesn't improve on the palate. I rather hope this is faulty in some way. **

Most pleasant of the three random reds on the night. Sour red cherry fruit. Quite classy. Fresh and lean. hard to evaluate after all the Chablis. top ***?

Slightly medicinal. Quite sweet al lthings considered, lipsmacking even. Reasonable length but overall a leaner style. OK for what it is. ***

A little mute on the nose. Chalky minerality. Nice extract, quite grippy across the attack. Reasonable length but lacks intensity and grip on the finish. ***

Quite a curious nose. Initially a bit cabbagey. A bit musty on the finish too. Decently mineral with reasonable focus. Good material underneath but the corkiness does get in the way. (***1/2)
