Oaky, but seems to have the energy, fruit and acidity to balance it. Not subtle though.

From Clos du Cromin and Les Vireuils. Still quite closed, excellent balance, energy, hardly any oak presence, subtle and perfumed.

Subtle, light, Vosne spice, some fruit but nothing like the lovely 2009 - this vineyard needs more sunshine to excel.

Slightly farmyardy, well-judged oak, tannins have a rough edge. Touch of brett?

Very fragrant, essence of Syrah, good structure and length. Exceptional quality from what is clearly a great vintage on the Northern Rhône.

Similar character to the straight Crozes but with more stuffing, style, depth, length and just a hint of new oak. Very attractive and stylish.
