This was a themed dinner proposed by our friend David. He has done several other theme's in the past and this year was Mouton. Everybody dug deep and came up with exceptional bottles. Bruce stepped up with the champagne's and the '81 Laville, Tom brought the Ramey because his wife does not drink red wine. Edward brought a very old Auslese from Germany.
As to the Mouton's, this was difficult to judge as all the wines were in great shape and initial in the glass they were very similiar. Only after about 1/2 hour did they change and reflect their own qualities. I also found it hard to judge all 9 at one time and would have preferred two flights. Great evening

Super clean in the glass, full body, crisp, lasting on the palate with a dry finish. Very good indeed.
