Dinner held to celebrate some sort of maturity at 60 years. Couldn't manage a 1960 event so with some number inversion went for 1990.
Went with a sea bass carpaccio with finely chopped olives, capers and red peppers
Went with roast veal served with roasted rosemary potatoes and sauteed spinach with nutmeg and butter and an Italian cheeseboard
Spiced Apple tart
Wonderful evening, wonderful company, wonderful wines. Heaven.

Fine mid-gold, fine mousse. Sherbert, lemon and honeyed notes, medium to full bodied. Some stewed white fruits. Touch of richness but clean and long. Mouth filling. Lovely now but no panic. Great start.
