Another great night with the NY/NJ crew and a solid line-up of wines.
Served blind. Medium ruby color in the glass. Old world nose showing red and blue fruit with hints of rubber, smoke and pyrazine. Additional notes of spice and black tea on the palate. Medium body, relatively low tannin and medium high acidity.

Aromatic profile is an interesting mix of cassis, tomato juice, pyrazine and earth. Medium to medium high acidity and tannin. Medium body and very well balanced.

Rich, ripe black cherry and cassis on the nose mixed with significant vanilla and oak. Similar profile on the palate. Full-bodied with medium tannin and acid. Medium length finish.

Red cherry and savory charred meat on the nose. Similar on the palate. Medium body with medium high to high tannin and acid. Very nice bottle of Sangiovese.

Pretty nose with notes or ripe red fruit, rose petals, spice and well-integrated oak. Medium body with high tannin and acid. Long finish. Really nice.

Huge aromatics of sweet, ripe cassis , vanilla, and toasted oak outsize the glass. Rich and full-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and medium tannin and acid structure. Long finish.

Beautiful notes on the palate showing red fruit, baking spice and well-integrated oak. Similar notes on the palate. A modern-styled barolo with medium body, high acidity and really high tannin, though it is tamed somewhat when paired with food.

Delicious nose showing notes of honey, caramel and orange infused with baking spice. Similar on the palate. Well balanced and lightly sweet.

Initially a bit of funk, but it completely blew off very quickly. Nice aromatics in the nose showing notes of pear, apple and citrus. stony minerality on the palate. Smooth mouthfeel with medium high to high acidity.

Honey, florals, and orange on the nose with similar notes on the palate. High ripe acidity. Medium to medium-full bodied with a medium long finish.
