Recent purchase. Nice yeasty nose with youthful lemon and apple aromas as well. Softer entry with a fresh and crisp finish. Excellent acidity and good length. This was a little tight at first but opened up quite a bit after 30-40 minutes in the glass. This should develop beautifully over the next 3-5+ years. Very good. 89+
I thought this was somewhat advanced, although far from undrinkable. Mainly lemon on the nose with notes of saline, charred butter and hints of caramel/sherry. Richer mouthfeel but with solid acidity (for an ’06), nice minerality and energy on the finish.
Tasted blind. Beautiful nose that had everyone saying ‘Bordeaux’ with graphite, red fruits, tobacco, black pepper and pencil shavings. While the nose showed some development, its overall profile was still quite youthful. The palate, on the other hand, was showing more age with Matt allowed us to all believe this was a left bank Bordeaux (Pauillac) for a long time while we made fools of ourselves until the very end when he stated was this was—very impressive wine and a great Bordeaux ringer. This bottle is at peak and drinking perfectly right now. Outstanding.
Very aromatic nose with tons of floral, spice and candied cherry aromas with a hint of funk and tart red fruits as well. Refreshing acidity with fine tannins and a stylish yet structure profile. Quite approachable now but there’s more to come with a few years in the cellar. Very good. 89+

Nose is funky, a little warm, but nice enough. The palate, however, is stripped of fruit and dilute. The consensus was this bottle had been heat damaged. Too bad.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
My notes for this wine read: floral with good depth and texture; showing well and a nice burg qpr; good but needs 3-5 years. For a more detailed description of the wine, see Blair’s and Matt’s tasting notes. Excellent. 90+
No formal notes. Beautiful and young nose, lilacs, pepper, dark red fruits. Pure and layered, lots of depth. Very young but fun to drink. This will be great with 10+ years of bottle age. Excellent. 90+
