We made pasta carbonara and grabbed these wines to pair

  • 2011 Les Vins Contés (Olivier Lemasson) Poivre et Sel

    France, Vin de France


    This is such a Loire Valley wine, and from the first sniff you know it is a natural wine. Great hint of white pepper on the nose, and a great juicy palate with pepper so it makes me think of pineau d'unis. the gouleyant factor should make me think something else is added, like gamay in this case..either way loved it with our carbonara with fresh eggs and pancetta
