Nice golden yellow color. Nose reminiscent of a 10+ years old Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay. Outstanding palate with nuts, citrus, smoke, honey and some pineapple. Gorgeous wine and still drinking very well!!
Brown edges. Gorgeous nose with a little bit of (good) funk. Interesting, strange palate. Very likely past prime, but still drinking quite well! Tasted blind and slightly better than the '80 in the same flight.

Cloudy. Sweet cherry nose. A little bit hot. Cinnamon. Nose and palate felt a little bit young. Kept improving with time in the glass. Tasted blind and was surprised to see that was a 10+ years old wine.
Brett, funk, oak on the nose. Meaty, bacon on the palate. Tasted blind and immediately recognized as the Cabot Aria's in the line-up as I've had that wine multiple times before. As expected, this didn't fare too well with some folks in the group, but I still believe this is an excellent, affordable cold climate Syrah produced in Northern California... if you like the style! ;)
Generous, fruity nose that somehow smelled a little bit like balsamic vinegar (!). Still tannic and probably way to young to drink right now. Tasted blind and (wrongly) guessed as an Australian ringer in the lineup.
