  • 2007 Clos Mogador Priorat

    Spain, Catalunya, Priorat

Deep ruby coloured. The nose has pronounced intensity with aromas of farmyard, toast, black fruit, brambles, sweet spice, leather, cream vanilla and a certain herbaceous quality. In the mouth the wine has lots of everything, acid, body, flavour intensity, tannin and alcohol. The tannin is bone dry, grippy and slightly unripe. The fruits are dominated by black currant and berry with a slight menthol quality. The fruit carries on a the long finish and keeps giving. Very savoury. Very good but, for me, something not quite right.
