An amazing dinner with lovely people. I can't quite believe my good fortune to be the recipient of such generosity.
Ripe, tangy, gorgeous toasty edge, deep and mineral. Brilliant!

Mouthwatering nose, bitingly sharp on the palate, grapefruity without being fruity, a nice lick of oak. Fantastic, mouthfilling, thrilling.

Muted after the more youthful Meix Chevaux, this was complex, spicy, very fine, very lovely, but much more sedate and middle-aged than the bottle we had in January.
Served blind, this had us groping around in the realm of 10 year old Vosne grand crus. Smooth, sappy, red fruited, utterly beautiful and beguiling.
This too was served blind. Beautiful, understated elegance, spice, persistence. Pegged as an aristocrat before we knew its identity.
Hard to pin down the loveliness of this, lifted, hot and herbal, but utterly enchanting.
Not that different from the Giacosa, resolved, luminous, penetrating, lovely
Mouthwatering, laser-like focus, unreasonably delicious
