3 different white varietals from Alsace.
Made C blind taste and she managed to get most of the smells and flavours although she could not guess the grape varietal due to insufficient knowledge. Excellent nose and taste buds I must say.
2010 Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve
France, Alsace
Fruity, very slightly sweet only. Salty and flinty from the nose to the palate. Notes of caramel. Will develop more with age. Having had bad experiences with the Pinot Gris varietal previously, this was refreshingly good.

2007 Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile
France, Alsace
Kerosene/turpentine/thinner on the nose. Extra dry. Strong salty minerality. Lovers of dry Riesling will appreciate this. M loved it. Can imagine that this would go well with fish.

2007 Trimbach Gewurztraminer Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre
France, Alsace
Sweet slightly floral nose. Rich sweetness continues onto the palate, somewhat slightly more than a moscato, and much less than a Sauternes. Seemed to be an underlying dryness which could reveal itself with more age. Nice easy drinking now nonetheless.
