Full gold. Waxy, lanolin nose, a touch of beeswax too. Tondo-light. Quite full, good texture. Fully mature and on the decline. Quite short. Interesting but quite one dimensional through the mid-palate, lacking complexity and quite bland. Lacks the complexity that Jeremy obviously enjoyed earlier in the year. Bare ***
Proper mature Rioja nose. Not full orange peel, but soft and spicy and creamy. Christmas fireside. Positive attack. Mid-palate character, but starting to dry a bit on the finish. (*)***
Quite bright, cherry led fruit and a touch of caramel wafer. Good focus and line. Showing well for the vintage currently but needs a good while yet. A little tighter than the bottle at January's JadotFest. ***(*)
Very mute on the nose. Smooth, mellow. Very floral and fragrant on the palate with air. Plush texture with some alcohol underpinning it. Drink up. ***1/2
Dense, earthy, iron, a mineral edge with a touch of blood. Sauvage. Good length and lots of interest. A little rustic but plenty of character and interest. Lovely. ****
