This was a walk-around tasting at the Swedish importer of Bouchard P&F, Bibendum.
I've always had a problem with Bouchard P&F's basic Burgundies, La Vignée, and particularly the red version. Unfortunately, this sample made it obvious that even in top vintages such as 2009 and 2010, Bouchard P&F has managed to produce completely substandard wine on both the white and the red side. These are wines that I would consider unworthy of a good négociant even in an average vintage, and that's a shame, since the rest of their range is quite OK and often really good.
2010 Bouchard Père et Fils Chardonnay Bourgogne Blanc La Vignée 80 Points
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
Pear, tropical notes on the palate. Substandard for a white 2010. 80 p

2009 Bouchard Père et Fils Pinot Noir Bourgogne La Vignée 78 Points
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne
Nose with raspberries, somewhat herbaceous. Light on the palate with raspberries and lingonberries, good acidity, lightweight tannins (that still come across as hard). Lousy given the vintage. 78 p
