Hardly any bubbles, cotton, apples, lemon toast. Shows soft cotton in the mouth, with powerful acid and oranges and spice. Ripe fruit with lots acid, not especially mineral or complex, but tasty.
Deeper and more powerful nose, with toasted pear, earth, wool, and muddy meadow aromas. Softer in the mouth with the acid better integrated, fuller, earthy and slightly bitter, good length, turns savory and umami on the finish. Really nice.
Best of the three secs on this showing. Deeper, limey citrus nose. Minerally, fuller and more concentrated with lots of acid, tastes extremely dry. Potentially too much acid? Maybe, but I like this.
Soil, black tea, mulch, salt. Savory and lovely with food, earthy but finishes clean. Shows more tree fruit character with air, with a lovely saline gravelly flavor. Complex and beautiful.
Red apple, pear, peach. Reminds me a bit of a good aged riesling with a petrol note, but the texture is different. There are herbal and spice flavors, truffles, ginger tea and honey. Quite sweet. Beautiful.
Sweet corn and creamed corn on the nose, with lots of tree fruit. Dense and concentrated, but backward and tannic with some leafy undergrowth flavors. Complex, with good potential, but needs time.
Honey, fruitcake, spice, some creme brulee flavors, noticeable botrytis, Extremely concentrated, very young, sweet and ripe, viscous, but with great acidity and balance. Needs time to digest the sugar a bit and for everything to integrate but very good right now. Improves with air.
Figgy, quince, tea, herbs. Mature, there's sweetness on the attack, but the sugar has faded and this is now a bit tart. Decent but not great. I preferred the 2002.
