Nose of chalky cherry fruit. Very tannic at first but after a few hours it became bearable. Not showing very much fruit. Nice finish. Needs some more time IMO.

Blackberry fruit nose. Tastes of dusty dried fruit. Soft with a nice finish. A bit of a disappointment for me. Much better last time I had it. Off bottle?

Wow. Beautiful nose of raspberries. Fresh and lively in the glass. Much more alive than the first three '97s. Knockout, powerful cherry finish that goes on and on.

From a rare etched 1L bottle (433 produced). I liked this more than others. Earthy dark blackberry fruit nose. A bit monolithic. Strong finish.

Strong VA on the nose and on the palate. Caramel, orange and blackberry. Short finish. A little medicinal. What a monumental disappointment. Too bad. 100 points...are you kidding me?

Deep caramel, blackberry and blueberry nose. Rich, lively wine. A 30 second finish. Very elegant. Beautiful wine. My personal WOTN. Easily lives up to all of the hype. A special thanks to Jeff for sharing this gem.

Dark blackcurrant fruit. Spicy and rich finish. Hillside always performs. Fantastic wine.

Great wine. Everytime I have this I think why don't I buy more of this? Holds it's own against any of the great '97 cults.

NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 95 Points
France, Champagne
Crisp, nutty, doughy, chestnuts. Elegant long finish. Hitting on all cylinders tonight. Best non-vintage Krug I have ever tasted.

Dark golden in color. Caramel nose. Oaky!!! Little bitterness on the finish. Alcoholic. Everything I hate about California Chardonnay.
