Consistently an excellent s.b. and to my oleasent surprise, most agreed that it was the best of the 3 Torres whites served despite being the cheapest of the trio. Medium lemon yellow-green color. Expressive nose of tropical fruits (pineapple and mango), subtle oak adding complexity without overpowering the fruit and green scents. Medium-bodied, balanced, with vibrant fruit and perfectly balancing acidity. Long.

Medium yellow-green with golden hues. Initially there was a funky element that disappeared after aeration. Expressive and somewhat evolved nose with honey, ripe apricot, sweet oak and green scents. Medium-bodied with sweetness, ripe fruit, good balance and length. Fully mature, drink sooner than later.
Dark yellow-gold with green hues. Mellon, pear, sweet oak and buttery scents on the nose. Medium to full bodied, rich, balanced with medium acidity and a long aftertaste. Very well made, international in style chardonnay, somewhat overprised with no real sense of place. Still very enjoyable and could improve with cellaring.

Medium ruby-garnet. Expressive nose with excellent pinot typicity: on the nose it displays strawberry, raspberry, red cherry and herbal scents. On the palate it is medium-bodied, balanced, with vibrant fruit, noticeable oak, balancing acidity and a slight alcoholic burn. Long aftertaste.
A stunning wine and clearly the wine of the evening. Very dark, opaq purple. Expressive and complex nose of sour cherry jam, sweet spices, chocolate, luxurious oak and blackberry. Full-bodied, dense and rich yet nicely balanced with big and ripe but not overtly sweet or cloying fruit, firm tannins, medium acidity and a very long aftertaste. Already enjoyable and hedonistic with a very long life ahead.
Dark ruby. Nose of medium to high intensity displaying cassis, dark berries and herbal scents alongside sweet oak and spices. Medium to full-bodied with firm tannins that need time to mellow, medium to high acidity and a long aftertaste. Compared to the Mas La Plana from the same vintage, this is riper, sweeter, oakier and less green, and in a way its character stands between Mas La Plana and Grans Muralles in terms of power, ripeness and body.
Medium brick with brownish hues. Particular nose with jamon, spices and soy. Medium-bodied with soft tannins, nicely preserved but fading fruit, good balance and length. Overall this is a very nicely aged wine, past its best but still offering drinking pleasure.
This was the star of the vertical to most. Medium to dark garnet. Complex and refined nose, herbal, etheral and quite Bordeaux-like with smoke, cassis, mint, fennel and cumin. Medium-bodied with firm tannins, youthful and vibrant fruit, balanced and long. Still a long way to go.
Dark ruby. Youthful yet expressive with smoke, cedar, dark berries, capsicum and spice. Medium to full bodied with firm tannins, generous fruit, smoke and herbs, balanced and long. Very promising. The winemaker asked the pannel to compare this to the less generous and more supple 2010 and most voted for the 2009.
Dark ruby. Oaky, youthfu, more restrained compared to the 2009, more supple and softer but less concentrated. High acidity. Still somewhat disjoint but promising.
