From the Can Mayol vineyard, 250 metres above sea level. Fermented and aged on the fine lees for five months in 720 litre amphorae. Very mineral on the nose (Chablis-like), salty, floral, ripe citrus fruit, gunflint, good depth; dry but juicy, fresh, lemon juice and orange zest, white almond, has a certain finesse; good length. Delicious.
Italy, Tuscany, Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano
Wonderfully spicy and rich nose, good depth, slightly tarry, glossy fruit but with good Sangiovese typicity; juicy, ripe fruit, bright acidity, low tannin, nice weight and even some elegance (the 14.5% ABV does not get in the way); very good length. Extremely well made.
