Incredibly weak nose. Tasted with others from northern Rhone and this was by far the least stimulating. I get a hint of what I call "Smurf," as it reminds me of the plastic Smurf toys I had as a kid.
Familiar but yet surprising. Reminded me of left bank Bordeaux at first. Tasted along with other northern Rhones and this stood out for its balance. Getting something I used to call oak, but since I know Allemand uses no new oak, I must be wrong.

Wow, the perfume wraps its sticky sweet arms around me. Layers of syrupy berries and spices. Can't keep my nose out of the glass.

Weird one! Sawdust? Green bell pepper. I think this is what they mean by "vegetal." Tastes like Syrah, but oh, the nose. More tannin than I like too.
