An interesting comparison with the same wine from Burgaud (albeit from 2011) tasted two days ago. At Desvignes the style seems to be slightly riper and more (black) fruit-focused on the nose, even if there is absolutely no lack of freshness or minerality on the palate in this cool(er) vintage. Pure style, green apple and unripe red cherry on the finish and slightly grippy bitters from the stems and the skins; very good length.
2012 Staatlicher Hofkeller Würzburg Würzburger Stein Riesling Kabinett trocken 86 Points
Germany, Franken
Dry and refreshing, nice bitters, hint of fruit, spicy minerality, light, decent length. Unexciting.
