This might be a first for me, but I’m giving WOTN to a white and this one isn’t really all that expensive. Paired best with the food and was most versatile wine in our lineup. A crisp, vibrant wine with pleasing fragrances of flowers and yellow-fleshed fruits. Really tasty, fresh, and textured with a peach and nectarine flavor profile and citrus on the finish.
A bit too grassy for my tastes and its seashell, salty finish was also not my thing. Good body and brightness – pink grapefruit, chalk and dried pineapple character profile.
Serving W-S pinots is a Thanksgiving tradition for us and we had another solid showing here – good texture and complexity – profile of cherry, red plum and mushroom. Good acidity and holding up fine while aging, although it certainly seems to be in a prime window now. Not as complex as the W-S SVDs.

Carlisle is another Thanksgiving staple for us and our guests are usually primed for it and it's usually a crowd favorite. And once again, a very solid showing - raspberries and cool whip on the nose with a briary spice flavor profile. Lively acidity, long finish. Maybe not as complex and thought-provoking as the CdP and Volnay.

Really pleased that this had plenty of life and verve left in it. Raspberry and fig fruit profile. Good balance and purity. Maybe the best marriage of complexity and flavor for the night.
In this company, seemed a bit less polished, with a bitter anise component and harshness that I found offputting. But it did have great concentration and length and seemed to be well made, just not my thing. I think this needs some time but a bunch of good CT reviews are in conflict with that opinion. Liked it better on day 2.
An interesting Volnay that evolved over the night, alternating between an elegant light-bodied rose-petal infused sipper to a more complicated, brooding, pepper- and soil-focused drink. It took a while to open up and wasn’t a crowd favorite because it has less upfront appeal than the American entries on the menu.
