Not quite as exciting as another bottle from last year, but again very much in Bollinger's oxidative style. Lots of lemon and apple throughout with enough energy to maintain freshness. But it's still not my preferred style.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Good as always, even if this needs more time. Lots of power and structure along with apple and pear aromas and flavors with subtle spice. Very long and energetic.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
I liked this wine while also finding it slightly eccentric. Great floral start with toasted brioche, ripe apple and sweet spice. Long of acidity but also some faint hints of sweetness form an odd combination that I like in a curious way.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
A very fun, pleasurable and interesting wine, but highly unlikely this is 100% Pinot Noir. Deep and powerful with lots of old wine pleasure. Grenache? Algeria?
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Opened a couple of hours before it was served, which was probably a mistake. Mature red fruit with baking spice to start that I thought perhaps 92 or 93 points, but faded and only marginally interesting 15 minutes later, at 85 points, and just downhill from there.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
A very impressive 1983 with no signs of decay. Mature red fruit with some earth and spice. If blind, I'd have thought Vosne from a much better vintage.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Shockingly good for the vintage, I'd never think this from 1987 of tasted blind. All red fruit, fresher than expected with good textures, moderate spice and moderate length.

2004 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Lighter styled with green apple and some pear and faint spice hints. Picks up weight with more time in glass, getting better and better.

1990 Domaine Jean Gros Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Clos des Réas
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
I don't know if this was an odd, tired bottle or this wine has transformed into something ripe, tired, flabby and barely interesting.

1999 Domaine Michel Gros Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Clos des Réas 87 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Very pleasant and enjoyable with lots of ripe red and black cherry, but I couldn't really identify anything uniquely Vosne or really nuanced here.
