We stopped in to Corsini's for a quick bit. I needed something less intimidating and hoped to find some pizza. Others had a quick glass of wine, the 2002 Guidalberto, which was a mistake. I was unable to warn them in time- even if it was 8 Euros a glass. After a long day of VinItaly the beer and pizza were a welcomed meal. It was a great decision and both were awesome.
A couple of our group decided to stay for a longer dinner and brought back to the villa the Biondi-Santi (from Corsini's) and the Macchione (bought at VinItaly). Both were friggin' delicious.

2008 Tenuta Greppo (Biondi-Santi) Rosso di Montalcino
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino
Crimson core showing clarity and orange rim; a bit of funk with leather orange zest and dark cherry and plum; juicy red fruit very cherry then some structure comes in, finishes with plum and spice; really impressive and seems ageworthy.
