This was supposed to be under $30/ bottle. A couple people went well over. Thanks.
#1- Einaudi
#2- Chidaine
#3- Orma
#4- Pira
#5- Montille
A good night when a nice bottle of Montille is the "worst" wine of the night.
2012 Luigi Pira Langhe Nebbiolo
Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Langhe DOC
Garnet core with larger maroon rim; sweet red cherry and raspberry, strawberry, new young Italian, perfumed, roses, tulips, mint, nose really pops, slight bubble gum; very sour cherry on palate, crunchy red fruit, very fresh and new; elegant and young Nebbiolo, very nice; nailed it.

2010 Domaine de Montille Bourgogne
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne
Very light dull ruby, pale rim, see through; rhubarb, cranberry, some green, very sour cherry, mineral; zingy Burgundy, slight medicinal, leaner, fresh, newer, snappy; got better with some air; was calling Mercurey.

2008 Orma Toscana IGT 90 Points
Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
Black core with reddish violet rim; tar, dark fruit, black raspberry, bramble, tobacco, newer, funk, young, juicy, boxwood; firm structure, larger scaled, good complexity, menthol, tar, juicy, Bordeaux-like but modern; French tasting, very good; suggest waiting a few more years on this; 90+.

2006 Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Terlo 93 Points
Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
Deep crimson core, some clarity, rusty rim; beautiful nose, exotic and sexy Nebbiolo, sandalwood, wormwood, sexy pure red cherry, roses galore, mint; a bit more muscular on the palate, slight cedar, sweet cherry that is slightly dried, some leather and a touch of rusty clay; to me this is extremely classic; nailed it on the head; very good stuff in a good spot now with some air.

2008 François Chidaine Montlouis-sur-Loire Les Bournais 91 Points
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire
Mine; bright yellow with green hues; deep sour red apple, slight grain, a bitter note, sour yellow fruit, pulpy; fuller richer on the palate, slight honey, melon, razor acidity in the back, a slight creamy quality in the mid, spice not from oak, quince; recommend serving a touch warmer with some airtime; would like to see with 3 more years; great wine.
