Faded, but still drinking fine. For me, not memorable, and preferred the 82.

Like the 78, somewhat over the hill. Neither were spoiled, they just were faded. I liked this better; the table was split on preference.

Beautiful nose, and a very good wine.

Wonderful comparison to the 06. I thought the 07 substantially better, with a finish that lasted forever. A beautiful wine.

Gorgeous palate, the nose was less pronounced. Very nice bottle, but actually expected more here.

Very good, balanced. A nice showing.

A touch oxidized, which affected the wine, but still a decent drink.

Something was odd on this bottle. Hard to get a handle on it, and not representative.

Serious juice here. Very, very pretty, and loads of potential. I'd seek this out.

A touch corked, but on opening it was so slight (for those of us without major TCA sensors) that the gorgeous wine showed through. Really spectacular underlying wine, would love to try this again.

For me, this massively outperformed. Absolutely beautiful. Loved it.

Like the 09 Roulot in the preceding flight, this has loads of potential, if still young.

A beautiful bottle, right in the heart of its drinking plateau. Lovely.

An "extra" bottle during our Dujac dinner, for some guests that stopped by (my daughters). Good juice as always.

Two bottles tonight. It's always been a vintage I've liked, and tonight was no exception.

2001 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Bonnes Mares
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Deep, brooding, dark fruits. Still a bit too early with this, I'd wait a few more years at least.

2011 Maison Ilan Chambertin
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
Edson blinded us with this. It drank decently for a youngster, and since I own it, I was pleased given all the controversy.

1985 Domaine Jacques Prieur Musigny
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
A wine I like a lot, but for me this bottle had some real heat/storage damage, and I couldn't get past that.

2000 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
From magnum. This was young and tight. Very nice, but still very early.

1986 Domaine Tollot-Beaut Corton-Charlemagne
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
From magnum. My favorite wine of the lunch. Color was a touch dark, so we were worried on opening, but this was sexy and gorgeous.

Very similar to the 93 along side. Didn't show the 88 characteristic. Very good.

2008 Domaine Armand Rousseau Père et Fils Chambertin
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
This was surprisingly open and delicious. Nice to get an early read, and a rare Rousseau GC that's fine to open early.
