Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over an hour. I have to say, every time I have this wine I am thoroughly impressed. Aggressive fine bead, the nose is bright with pear glace out front, sea breeze minerality, very fresh, pear blossom. The palate offer up wonderful purity and lacy minerality along with the pear, Meyer lemon, and floral notes that all flow effortlessly into a racy finish. Just darn tasty and hard to put down. A very worthy buy/QPR .

Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. The nose bursts forth with a nice array of melon, pear, citrus, vanilla, oak, and and minerals. Full bodied and not heavy, straddling the stylistic lines without giving in to either oak and butter nor lean and and lithe. This gives nicely both the texture and depth one expects from Kistler along with lovely stone fruits, pear, melon, creme brulee, stylish minerals, moderate minus oak that seems well integrated, and a sweet essence of heavenly fruit on the finish. Not quite as powerful and resonant as some Kistler's but quite good. 93+pts.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Echezeaux Grand Cru
Medium dark red color with subtle 7mm transitional margin. Splash decanted and drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. Wow, impressive, the perfume of earth strikes first with a wave of cherry fruit and red currants next, as this opens the sous bois and perfume emerges with soil infused minerality and high tones fruit still. The palate is also high toned with nicely ripe fruit buoying the savory earthiness and bright cherry notes with plum and currants, tart , orange peel, iron, hi toned and long on the finish. This continues to build over the 90 minutes and shows what strength it has to live on. A very fine bottle indeed.
Incredibly dark amber almost brown color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Delightful in a word. This shows nice nectarine fruits, creme brulee, toasted spice, orange peel, pineapple, light florals. The palate is medium bodied, baked apricot, clementine, pineapple upside down cake, spice and light honey on a medium plus finish. Very good, surprisingly advanced in appearance.
