All wines provided by my with the exception of a mag of 1992 Togni provided by J.
Again I get busted by an old Togni on a blind tasting. I guess I'll never learn.

2005 Domaine de la Pépière Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Granite de Clisson
France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine
Really drinking well but no hurry. Lots of saline, quince and (preserved?) lemon with a hint of anise and ginger. Honeyed golden--still screaming for food.

2007 Ojai Chardonnay Clos Pepe Vineyard
USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills
Lots of creamy lemon curd. Many tasters called it old world with a bit of new world style. Acidity is muted but nearly balanced. The oak has integrated a bit but is still a bit heavy for my palate.

2000 Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Dark cherry, forest floor/mushroom funk, soy sauce, Orange Pekoe tea, clove. Pretty rustic but has held up really well for the vintage.

2003 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
There are so many wonderful Pegau elements in this wine but I just can't get past the alcohol and sweet glycerin. I love the black tea, Garrigue and spice but the Luden's sweet cherry is just too heavy. This was my final bottle; I wouldn't wait much longer.

2003 Château La Vieille Cure
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Fronsac
Fruit is a little stewed by the hot vintage. Some red plum and cassis with bright tannins. Drinks very fresh and almost new world. Soft mouthfeel. A pleasant enough drink for the money.

2000 Terre du Lion
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
Classic St Julien/Pauillac nose of blackcurrant, graphite, light cherry, stone, earth. Not really complex but definitely in a sweet spot. This is my final bottle from a case+ and it expressed itself quite well. I'm glad I saved one to see how it would age.

2013 Domaine Faury St. Joseph La Gloriette Vieilles Vignes
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Joseph
Load of dark grapey Syrah fruit with a hint of cherry. Wild herb, olive, black pepper and gamey meatiness.Nice acid. Delicious with a long slow ox and a three hour decant.

2010 Snowden Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
USA, California, Napa Valley
Slow ox for 5 hours and decant for 3.
Really lovely right now. The tannins are perfectly integrated. It carries its alcohol quite well without being heavy handed with fruit extraction. This is just a nicely balanced expression of Napa with a mix of bright red and brambly black fruits with light cedar and minty herb.
