For the Thanksgiving gathering we enjoy the party which is always accompanied by some great wines... The tradition is not only the obligatory Turkey but also at least one bottle of my favorite US wine 'Ridge Monte Bello', which was for everyone the WOTN... Cheers!
2003 Egly-Ouriet Champagne Grand Cru Brut Millésimé 93 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Golden color. Nose of baked apples, ripe fruit and caramel. Subtle fleur de sell notes, mouth filling, rich and very long. Now in a great drinking window with a decade of a top-notch drinking ahead . Constantly a great Champagne. Dégorge 10/2010

2002 Bollinger Champagne R.D. Extra Brut 91 Points
France, Champagne
Light golden in color. Fresh granny smith apples, white flowers and fresh white bread nose. All surprisingly light and quite high on the acidity. I am missing the complexity and the structure of in this wine. Maybe still too young...let's hope so as there are still a few bottles in the cellar. In the current phase disappointing!
