    France, Champagne

    From a trendy label to some aromas of marzipan, camomile or baked apple. Delicious oxidised notes.
    On the palate showed very acid and dry. Its time will come in ten years or so.

    De una etiqueta pijita arrancan aromas a mazapán, margaritas o manzana asada. Deliciosas notas oxidadas.
    En boca muy ácida y seca. Su tiempo llegará en unos diez años.

    Typically oily rather than nutty from Morilles. Tasty and delighted. By disgrace shortie.

    Oleaginoso más que a frutos secos. Sabroso y delicioso. Por desgracia un poco cortito.

  • 1952 Marqués de Riscal Rioja Reserva 95 Points

    Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alavesa, Rioja

    Brown colour with a dark core. Initially notes of black olives, chocolate and cocoa. A monastic austerity. Dry cutting the air. To me a jewel.
    Tremendous in the mouth with acidity and length. Feeling of being in front of a younger wine certainly. A wine to be shared with a good Havana cigar. A bottle worthy of being remembered. Indeed. Full personality.

    De color marrón con un corazón oscuro. Inicialmente notas de aceitunas negras, chocolate y cacao. De una austeridad monacal. Sequedad que corta el aire. Para mi una joya.
    Tremendo en boca con acidez y recorrido. Sensación de estar ante un vino más joven sin duda. Un vino para ser compartido con un buen cigarro habano. Una botella digna de ser recordada. Pura personalidad.

    Coffee and that semisweet sensation, Port-like.
    Really poor on the palate. Faint and very subdued
    It not finished off all night. The only bottle with wine inside after our dinner.

    Café y sensación semi dulce en nariz, como un oporto.
    En boca muy pobre. Desfallecida y muy apagada.
    No terminó de rematar en toda la noche. La única botella con vino al terminar la cena.

    I have NOTHING to add to what has been explained BY 12 Glotones , including chestnut puree and that in 2028 it will be magnificent still.
    My tasting mates placed it in the seventies. Funny.
    Nothing will be the same.

    No tengo NADA que añadir a lo explicado por 12 Glotones, incluyendo el puré de castañas y que en 2028 estarán magníficas.
    Mis compañeros de cata la situaron en los años setenta. Divertido.
    Nada será igual.

    Served blind. In my opinion this was anything but Rioja, what about a well-aged Dao wine from the eighties?
    New french barrel, elegant extraction, well-balanced Crianza but...without a soul.
    Probably that 1928 Paternina killed curiosity.

    Servida a ciegas. Desde mi punto de vista era cualquier cías salvo un Rioja, ¿porqué no un Dao bien envejecido de los ochentas?
    Un Crianza de barril francés nuevo, de elegante extracción, bien equilibrado pero...sin alma.
    Probablemente ese Paternina 1928 mató mi curiosidad.

    Same good feeling than a few months ago but eclipsed by 1928 Paternina. Sorry this time my loved Ramos Pinto.

    Las mismas buenas sensaciones que hace unos pocos meses pero está vez eclipsada por ese Paternina 1928.
