This is a fabulous wine that beats many Grand Cru Burgundies. It is expressive with an abundance of ripe yellow fruits and it has a lot of well integrated oak and beautiful acidity. Concentrated, complex, good bitterness and also elegant. So opulent. Imho the difference between this wine and the very best Burgundies is the minerality and some finesse, but this is a very lovable wine with enormous structure and length.

This is a beautiful Lafleur! Beautiful and exclusive bouquet with still black forest fruits in the bouquet. Same on the palate; powerful juice with cassis, good acidity and bitterness and still powerful tannin. The wine is in maturity stage alright, but it still holds a promise for the future. Drinking it now is very rewarding and around 2017 it will still be great, or maybe even a few years after that. I really would love to taste this again in a few years from now.

In its maturity stage now, but this will still be a feast around 2017 if you have a good bottle.

This is a truly great wine and definitely for the vintage. It has a beautiful and classical bouquet with luxurious oak, cedar, cassis, other dark berry fruits, graphite, tobacco etc. Same on the palate. Beautiful balance between sweetness and acidity. Soft tannin which is also still powerful. Classical, soft and kind with still a long future, This is a textbook example of a super wine which is a feast from its youth until a very mature stage, probably well in the 2020's.

Firm bitterness and drying tannin in the finish. Compared to my previous notes, the wine is in a different stage now. The wine definitely has the structure to last another 8 - 10 years, but if the tannin will become even more drying, the wine will not improve for the better.
