Ripe w/out being jammy. Some spice and eucalyptus. A great quaffer, and light enough to pair well with food. 87-88

Concentrated, with lots of rasberry fruit. Pretty big and tanninc. Jammy. Straightforward. 86-87

Lots of jam, mostly Rasberries, but without the seeds. Straightforward, and not as nice as I remember the last vintage being.

Much more restrained then the other zins. Good fruit, and a little minty. Much more interesting the the other wines. But still has that bright fruit. This is the style of zin I prefer. 87-89

Tannic, or more properly, the fruit doesn't hold up to the tannins. Rather thin. Either past its prime already, or maybe it was never that good.
6/26/07: Strange, retried at a tasting and this was quite pleasant. It had nice fruit, and while fairly simple, offered nice zin characteristics without going overboard... This time, 87 Points.

Nice nose, but not very much structure. Decent fruit, however, it's pretty boring for a $30 zin. 82-83

Tried this again with some other zins. Showed very well. Big and concentrated, but this wine was more complex then most of the others. Actually would like to try again in another year, I think this might be even more interesting. 88+

Big fruit aromas on the nose. But falls apart on the palate. Kind of flabby. No vibrancy to the fruit. This wine bombed in the tasting.

The fruit doesn't hold up to the tannins. Don't see this wine going anywhere but downhill. 82-83

This was all rasberry and vanilla, and rather simple. Kind of creamy. Would have to give this some time to settle down. 87 for now.
