Introduction
We all had to bring 3 bottles and tasted all wines blind, except for the ones we brought.
We tasted all wines one at a time.
NV Château Pabus Crémant de Bordeaux Cuvée Andrea La Réserve de Pabus Brut 82 Points
France, Bordeaux, Crémant de Bordeaux
A fresh and fine bubble. In the beginning some yeast in the bouquet, but that disappeared quickly and unfortunately there was hardly any bouquet left. In the mouth pleasant soft citrus. Ok made wine, but nothing spectacular.

2007 Hans Wirsching Iphöfer Kronsberg Silvaner Großes Gewächs 90 Points

Very soft, slightly (yellow) tropical bouquet. On the palate full bodied and concentrated, also yellow tropical fruits, slightly sweet and some bitterness. Little later also citrus appeared. Good acidity. The fun part about this wine is that it changes in the glass constantly. Something new to discover every smell and sip.

Very special wine. Barnyard, toasted oak and minerals in the bouquet. Also special in the mouth. Toasted oak and minerals again. Ok acidity. Altogether I don't know what to think. Never tasted something like this before. At this moment it is pleasurable and the toasted oak gives the impression of luxury, but on the other hand I wonder if the juice can manage the oak in the longer term. Anyway, for the pleasure now 87 and I consider that to be very high for a Dutch wine.

In the bouquet some spiciness, banana and barnyard. In the mouth ok acidity. Not a bad wine. Not great either.

Not so very expressive bouquet, but there are some flowers/blossom. Very elegant with a firm amount of pleasant acidity. Very harmonious and a long finish.

Only 1565 bottles produced of this very special wine. Special bouquet with sour cherries. Also on the palate quite acidic and cherries again, but all is in good harmony. 50% Nebbiolo; 50% of 152 other varieties.

Elegant bouquet with menthol, eucalyptus, cherries and a little VA which will probably disappear with ageing. Beautiful mouth feel. Soft and ripe cherries, some chocolate. Firm acidity and tannin. Give it another 2 - 4 years of ageing.

Second disappointing bottle. There is a little barnyard in the bouquet and a lot of unripe cherries. Same in the taste, but too much acidity. No tannin that holds a promise. Not a pleasant start, nothing nice on the mid palate and hardly any finish. 2 bottles left and I am not looking forward to them.

Completely incomparable to the normal 2001 la Rivière. Almost new world style. Concentrated and a lot of sweetness. Beautiful bouquet with toasted oak, liquorice, blackberries and some barnyard. On the palate a lot of blackberries again and ripe raspberries. Full bodied and juicy. It is a pity the wine lacks complexity in this stage. Hope that this will come in another 3+ years of ageing. 89+

In the bouquet eucalyptus, iodine and blood. In the mouth also some medicine tastes. There is fruit, good acidity and elegant sweetness. Not great, but certainly an ok experience. Ready now, but no hurry.

Lovage and organic smells in the bouquet. Not really inviting. In the mouth it was much better. Full bodied and a lot of substance. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Eucalyptus. Difficult; the bouquet gave the impression the wine was getting too old, but in the mouth it certainly was lively. Not really harmonious, but an really a pleasant wine.

Something completely different than 1997. Expressive bouquet. Chocolate, licorice, a lot of cassis juice, leather. A mouth full of wine. Firm amount of acidity and still youthful tannin. Very extracted. A modern made, almost a-typical Bordeaux.

Rose hips in the bouquet. Same on the palate as well as red fruits. Firm amount of sweetness, nicely balanced with enough acidity. Long finish. Very smooth wine. I miss real complexity for a higher score, but possibly the wine is still too young.

Special and fully mature bouquet with vegetal aromas and some chocolate. Past its prime, but not dead yet. Drying in the finish. If you have any; drink it asap, it will only go further down.

Beautiful and complex bouquet with fruits, good oak and some herbs showing little development. Same in the taste. Also cassis and other ripe dark berry fruits. It has complexity, finesse and also still a lot of power/firm but good tannin. Great wine! Drink now with enough time to breathe, or wait another 5 years; no problem.

Creamy and soft expressive bouquet. Same on the palate. Dark berry fruits. Enormously concentrated with a very good balance between sweetness and acidity. The tannin is soft but powerful. An elegant blockbuster with very good complexity. Now already a great pleasure and it can last easily another 5+ years.
