Refreshing citrus and apple acidity like the basic wine. Beside there are some tastes that remind me of almonds and minerals. There is some complexity, but I do not know these wines well enough. Maybe too young?
A lot of young oak and good fresh acidity. The wine reminds me of the more complex Northern Rhone wines. Long aftertaste. Luxurious wine. Maybe I score it even too low because it still is so young.
Botrytis in the bouquet as well as the taste. Very concentrated sweetness. A lot of tropical fruits, polishing wax and orange peel. Overwhelming sweetness, but also fresh acidity. This is really very well made.
Juicy black fruits like blackberries and cassis. There is good oak as well, but not too much. There is some complexity. Good wine. Give it a few more years.
A lot of juice and concentration. Clearly some sweetness. Reminds me of (the better) Australian style shiraz wines. Very youthful. Should age well for some years.
Locked at the moment. Loaded with fruits, powerful good tannin and a good amount of oak. Not really heavy, but very nicely composed with good fresh acidity.
Very young. Completely locked. Very concentrated juice. There is a little sweetness, black cherries and other black forest fruits. Firm good bitterness. Firm but soft tannin. Oak beautifully in the background. Refinement and complexity as well. This wine probably needs many years to open up. I do not score it “officially”, but it will be well in the 90’s. (The –extreme- drinking window mentioned here is not mine, but it could be right.)
Compared to the somewhat sweet Spanish blockbuster style wines, this is a little more dry/acidic version of that. Firm bitterness, a lot of black fruits, sticky tannin. Leather. The acidic components need more time to get integrated in the wine. In fact this would be a nice wine to follow over the years to see if/when that happens. For my score I give it the benefit of the doubt.
Full bodied, concentrated and complex. There are a lot of ripe black forest fruits, spices and sweet chocolate. Well hidden oak as well. This is just a first impression. There is probably more to discover in this wine.
Full bodied, concentrated and complex. There is well hidden oak, a lot of ripe black forest fruits, black cherries, spices and a lot of sweet chocolate.
After tasting several concentrated somewhat sweet blockbuster style Spanish wines lately, this is a little more fresh wine. Quite complex with cassis, other black berries, anise, spices, chocolate etc. And everything in beautiful harmony and well integrated. This is one of my favourites.
Sweet but fresh. Tropical fruits like litchi and peaches. Also pear and some citrus. Although not really overwhelming this is a very pure and fresh style.
