Very dark color. Dark purple in the center, with dark red on the rim. Unevolved. A slightly closed nose. Very good extraction. Pepper, gamey, and some good syrah funk, but still painfully tannic. This is a wine that will need quite a bit of time. Good finish, but the tannins overwhelm.

Tasted from half bottle. Nice citrus and creme flavors. Thick and fruity, with some oak spice, but perhaps a bit simple. Pleasant, but simple.
