Golden yellow color, with fine small bubbles. Brown apples, rye bread and some yeast on the nose. Good bubbles that live for a long time on the palate. The taste is dominated by lemon and green apples. Maybe a little too sour. Good length.

  • 2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos du Bourg 92 Points

    France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray

Golden yellow color. Aromas of peach sirup and flowers. Some sweetness is present on the palate, but an flowery elegance starts the taste, but a complex midpalate takes over. Long taste and a superb balance between the sweetness and the acidity.

Flight 2 - Reds (3 Notes)

  • 1993 Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 92 Points

USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena

Dark red color towards the center and a slightly brown rim. On the nose it has cigars and blackcurrant. Very tight on the palate with dark berries, blackcurrant, tobaco and cigar box. Dry finish and great length. It hard to say where this is going, but it is drinking really well right now.

  • 2005 Bodega Numanthia Toro Numanthia 94 Points

    Spain, Castilla y León, Toro

Tight black color with a very thin purple rim. Black cherry, black berries, buttered milk, cream caramel and some roasted oak on the nose. On the palate it is very powerful with dark berries , black cherry and black ink, and on the midpalate some tobaco, buttered milk and licorise. The finish is dominated by very dry tannins, but acidity brings along the mouthwater and balances the wine very well.

  • 2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 96 Points

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Dark red color with a purple hue. Delicious nose of spiced raspberry, strawberry, herbes de provence and dryed fruit, prunes. On the palate it has a lot of fruit sweetness first with raspberry and strawberry. But remains elegant and extremely delicate. Some bitterness and tobaco on the midpalate, before a long finish with herbs, pepper and prunes. Dry on the finish, but very mouth watering due to fruit acidity. Very smooth and elegant, and superb balance makes this a fantastic wine.
