Pale yellow in color. Oak dominates the nose. Tastes of pears, apple, pineapple and cinnamon. Full bodied. Excellent mouth feel and balance. The oak needs some more time to better integrate for my personal tastes. Very long, rich finish with exceptional elegance. Quite superior to the 2005 tasted along side. 13.5% alcohol.

Pale yellow color. Smells of pears with a pretty floral character. Tasting of melon, pear, grass and spices. Amazing balance and beautiful acidity. Excellent purity of fruit. Very young. Restrained on the finish at this point in time. Should open up nicely with some bottle age and merit a higher score. 13.5% alcohol.

Light ruby in color. Aromas of cherries and rose petals. Tasting of blackberry, strawberry and earth with a nice black pepper component that I normally don't find with these wines but like very much. Medium bodied. Excellent balance and bright acidity. An intensely layered and complex finish. My personal favorite of the Echezeaux's tasted tonight. 13% alcohol.

Color of deep rubies. Nose of bright red berry fruit. Tastes of blackberries, pepper and black cherries. A bit on the green stemy side. Medium bodied. Mushrooms and a sweet earthiness on the soft finish. Stylistically reminds me very much like a Rhone wine. 13.5% alcohol.

Very dark purple in color standing out from the others in the flight. Nose of black cherries. Tasting of cherry, cola, earth and blackberry. Green tannins. Good balance. Well integrated oak. Medium bodied. A bit restrained and closed. Not bad but not very exciting at the same time. 13% alcohol.

Light ruby coloring. Reductive nose. Cola dominates the palate. Lots of oak and spice. Flat, uninteresting finish. Reminds me of an Oregon Pinot Noir. Hopefully this wine was off. 13% alcohol.

Ruby colored. Blackberry and caramel nose. Tastes of blackberry, pencil lead, blueberry and earth. Medium bodied. Well balanced with nice acidity. Elegant finish. Quite approachable now surprisingly enough. My favorite of the 2003, 2004 and 2005 DRC Echezeaux vertical. 13% alcohol.

Dark ruby color. Tastes of blackberry, cherry, cola, spice and earth. Well integrated French oak. Fine tannins. Medium bodied. Nice complex finish. Seems a bit closed down right now. Should develop nicely in the years to come. 13.5% alcohol.

What an absolute disaster. Undrinkable. Nothing like what I tried earlier this year. Obviously one of the famous off bottles. 13.1% alcohol.

Dark brown in color. Oranges on the nose. Super full bodied. The consistency of motor oil. Tastes of orange, lemon, caramel, fig and plumb. Nice finish. Very sweet. 2.2% alcohol. Is that enough alcohol to be even considered wine?

Golden yellow color. Tropical fruit aromatics. Apple, lemon, melon, caramel and walnuts on the palate. Intense effervescence and minerality. Incredibly well balanced. Beautiful richness with a very complex and elegant finish. This wine was on fire again tonight. Highly recommended. My personal WOTN. 12% alcohol.

Golden color. Notes of apples on the nose. Tastes of pear, apple, wheat, bread and mocha. Nice balance and grace. Soft elegant finish. Not showing anywhere near as good as the NV Grand Cuvee Brut tonight but a very good wine nonetheless. 12% alcohol.
