Zachy's tasting of 2005 and 2006 vintages of Bordeaux. A crowded event, many of the top Chateaus ran out of wine fairly quickly, but I was still able to get 100 wines in.

Watery red fruit
Served too warm. Muted citrus flavors

Tobacco, cedar -- very secondary for such a young wine. Odd.

Lots of red fruit -- strawberry, raspberry -- with black fruit underlying it -- plum and black currant.
Plum and black pepper dominate. Long finish
melon on the nose -- palate has some of the same, with pear and a doughy background
Gooseberry and pear. More acidity than the 2006.

black pepper dominates. not too complex. finish is short-medium.
fruit forward. black and red fruit.. 20 second finish.
dark plum, black fruit. minimum 60 second finish.. remarkable wine.

Berries and jam. Very nice palate, but the finish dropped off somewhat suddenly.
Wow. Serious tannins on this, bluebery, plum, red fruit. 45 second finish, develops a touch of heat at the end. Needs some time.
Sweet red fruit.
Kirsch, sweet red fruit. Finish develops well initially, but then fades rather quickly. Very nice, fine, tannins.
Lots of dark fruit
My favorite oof the tasting. Cherry, sweet spice. A knockout wine. 60 second finish, eveything in balance.
