    Nice. I liked it better than Diane. Nice merlot. Well balanced and nice flavors. No notes from last night, but a nice botle for a Friday night in the backyard.

  • 2003 Merryvale Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Oakville Grade 91 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

    Wow. Amazing wine. Had with sirloin and shrimp off the grill, roasted potatoes and salad. Deep purple color a- almost black. Amazing aromas of bluberries, vanilla, oak. Smooth mouth feel with a long finish. No bitterness. A great balance of tannins and fruit. Just a wonderful pairing with the dinner.

  • 2002 Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 90 Points

    A great bottle. Had after dinner. After The Merryvale 2003 Oakville Grade reserve. Maybe a slight downgrade, but not much. Tight. Popped and poured out of the wine fridge. Opened up nicely and should have decanted earlier. Dark purple color. Dark fruit smell of cherries and blackberries. Long finish with no bitterness.
