Dark purple color. Sweet cherry nose. Tastes of blackberry, violet and mint. Tannic and chewy. Good balance. Charred oak finish with some green bell pepper. Why can't I embrace this wine? Ridiculously over priced for the quality.
Dark garnet color. Red berry aromatics. Cherry, raspberry, plumb and currant. Very well balanced. Excellent depth and complexity in the mid palate. Closing down on the finish. This wine will be amazing with a few years of bottle age.
Dark garnet color. Pretty French oak nose. Tastes of blackberry, black cherry, charred oak, currant, earth and pencil lead. Incredibly well balanced. Full bodied. Intense mid palate with a quite elegant finish that lasts for almost a minute. Simply incredible. My personal wine of the tasting.
Dark garnet color. Rich black fruit nose. Tastes of blackberry, cherry and earth. Full bodied and more concentrated that the Helms of the same vintage. Good balance. Seems very closed and dare I say a touch monolithic compared to it's far superior brother. I would love to revisit both of these wines with 5-10 years on them.
