I love how they show you (and all the world) exactly how it was done.

It's too bad that they are showing you how they stole the wine when instead they should show you just how much time the moron will serve in jail, how much money he will lose and the guy named bubba that he will be sleeping next to for a few years.  Good luck finding a nice job with a felony on your record.

By what they said, if they trace back to anyone one, wines that were sold , if any, those ppl will lose out, unless they drink it quick.

My favorite wine shop lost a bottle in the several thousand dollar price range to some scumbag recently.  The have resisted the urge to put all of the big guns behind lock and key.  It saddens me to think of how many $9.99 bottles of wine they need to sell in order to recover the loss.  It is also sad to see this tutorial on TV.

Most stores around me lock up the good stuff (over $100) which is fine by me.  If you do purchase something they walk it for you up to the register....which is a good idea.

The funniest part of this is when they did the camera pan of the $11k in seized wine from the guys house they ended up showing the Yellow Tail bottles. I guess nobody buys that brand from wine commune or that was the crooks house drink.

Same here.  Anything over $100 is locked up or behind the register or tasting bar.  I can't imagine being a business owner and leaving really expensive bottles of wine out like that.  It almost seems like an invitation to steal.

I also laughed at the yellowtail bottles.  Did he steal those also?  Now the question is have any of you guys purchased these bottles from him?

I create fake labels and glue them over the real ones...using a glue stick.  The people at the registers usually don't know one wine from another, so I get away with it.

My other favorite method is to carry one of those fake belly bladders... I sneakily pop the cork and drain the wine into the bladder.

Well, if the officer was correct and this store was charging $900 for what I think is a bottle of 1989 Borgogno Barolo Riserva, then there's a lot of robbery going around those parts!
