I don't have much experience with the Merlot, but the cab has performed well every vintage I have tried (since 2003). This is a wine that really delivers a lot of Cab quality for around $15-$20. To me it it is always an excellent wine. If I get a last minute dinner invitation and I know that beef is on the menu, this is one my go tos. You can usually find it at most chain grocery stores and almost every wine store locally has it in stock.
