Ok, I'll admit it... I have been obsessing a little bit lately about the user forums on CT...  There's so much good information out there and I've come to trust the opinions and views of fellow CT'ers....

When it started, I would log in and check the forums every few days, not really posting anything as I didn't feel I had anything to contribute.. Now, I'm checking in every few hours to see what folks are talking about!!

We've got a bunch of doctors out there... Is this a sickness??

I'm also fighting my competitive nature around the user classifications (starting, junior, senior, MEGA!!).. How long before I can post 1K messages and join the vaunted ranks of a MEGA tracker!!

I think I'm almost to the "junior" threshold.... Just a few more posts....

And yes... I'm a little bored at work today...

it's not just these forums.  Its any type of forum where you can easily interact with people who have the same interests as you do..  In this case, CT and Vino!

The problem for me is the doctor, himself, has the sickness.  I'll have to see a shrink to fix this one...  For me it is a good 30 second mental break between patients.  (Doc, everything hurts...I'm so tired all the time...I don't understand it, I'm not eating much but I keep gaining weight...you get the picture )

The other problem, Ron, is that when you are bored at work you are also setting the pace for the rest of us on the forum!

Your problem sounds familiar.
And there is only one remedy.
Try to find people in your surroundings who are equally interested in wine and start organizing tasting events.
That gives you less time for the forum.

And Craig……….although I am not a doctor; that’s an easy patient. He/she has an alcohol problem. Good advice; spend the same amount on alcohol, but buy only one bottle of wine a week.

Yeah, now we all have to keep up with you.  Thank Goodness I check in here every hour or so!  This forum used to move pretty slowly, but has really taken off in the past month or two.

It's kind of like group therapy without going to group therapy

That's how I'll finally be able to build up my La Tache vertical.  "But, Honey, I only bought one bottle today!"

That opens up some interesting avenues.

Customer:  How far should it go to the litre?
Mechanic:  Are you filling it with the premium Margaux, or the regular Pavillon?

Well it's one problem I won't have over here - gas still under a pound a gallon (and that's a big English gallon too).

I've got the same problem man. Things were going a bit slowly at work, I started posting more, now I'm hooked.
