Couldn't help but notice all the celebrity owned and/or endorsed wineries.
Francis Ford Coppola
Madonna
Olivia Newton-John
Wayne Gretzky
Barry Manilow
Sam Neill
Bob Dylan
Steven Seagal
Fess Parker
Ernie Els
Paul Newman
Cliff Richards
Greg Norman
Vince Neil
JayZee
...did i leave anyone out?

So... who is really cares about wine and who is just selling-out or both?

A lot of golfers in addition to Greg Norman. The two I can recall off-hand are Nick Faldo and Mike Weir, and I know I've seen one or two from South African golfers as well. I'm sure that list is considerably longer.

Mario Andretti (and on a car note, the Lamborghini family also produce wines)

Dan Aykroyd.

I know there was a recent mention of a porn star producing a wine.

And the dead head deadhead has a posthumous line: J. Garcia wines produced by Clos du Bois

Tom Seaver, Peggy Fleming, Dick Vermeil.
I like the Fleming Jenkins Syrah that I tried last year at Family Winemakers.

Maynard James Keenan, of the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle, owns Caduceus Cellars in Arizona, though I doubt he would ever use his name to promote a commercial venture.

Has anyone had Cliff Richard's, understand he didn't like it too much on the F Word!

Ernie Els also produces a premier cuvee.  Price is high, so is the quality but on par with the price.....?

Ian Botham and Bob Willis also make a wine with Geoff Merrill - only available in Tesco though!

An old articel but Sam Neill came out top.

Don't forget about rapper Lil John, who recently launched the "Little Johnathan" label...and someone who is making dynamite wines is ex-NFLer Terry Hoage, who's syrahs and grenache based blends are very impressive

Ironically, they don't produce cars (anymore).

I was skipping through costco the other day and glanced through the labels.
Couldn't help but note that Mike Ditka now has a wine
to go along with his cigars, restaurant (on wells st) and boner pill.
Hard for me to take anything serious he endorses,
being here in Chicago everything related to our sports teams is hyped/milked for all it's worth.
Needless to say, i didn't pick up a bottle... i'll leave that errand up to "da fans".

Found this in the back of the pantry this week and figured it belongs here.

Certainly a novelty that was never meant for consumption

Thought of this thread last night when our host for the evening brought out a 2003 Arnold Palmer Napa Valley Cab. Apparently around $15. It wasn't bad but it was the end of a long evening so probably didn't show its best. Nonetheless, I can think of numerous other wines between $10-$15 that have it beat.

Arnold Palmer
