Any thoughts on Restaurant Daniel in NYC?
They are having their annual wild game dinner next week, with wines by Chapoutier.
I have been to DB Bistro Moderne (the original "world's most expensive burger") and Bar Boulud and loved them both.

I've never been to the Bar, but Daniel is - in my opinion - better than DB.  I don't think you can wrong with anything on the menu.  Should be fantastic.

There is nothing bad to say about Daniel. I have been a few times and even once for a work related function and it was great.
