There has been a great deal of confusion and duplication over this producer in Cellartracker.

1) It is spelled Domäne, not Domaine.

2) The front label says Domäne Wachau, but the proper and full name of the producer is Domäne Freie Weingärtner Wachau.

Hi,
had today a tasting at the Domäne Wachau and your statement must be corrected.
Since beginning 2008 the one and only name is now Domäne Wachau and no more Domäne Freie Weingärtner Wachau

Hi!

To clarify things: The full name of the producer has never been Domäne Freie Weingärtner Wachau, but just Freie Weingärtner Wachau. From February 2008, the company is called Domäne Wachau.

Eric or Andrew changed the name to Domäne Freie Weingärtner Wachau / Domäne Wachau. After some thought I think this way is a good one. But as far as I can see from the forum posts, Domäne Freie Weingärtner Wachau was chosen just because you would find the producer more easily. With the name change, I think it would be better to call the producer Freie Weingärtner Wachau / Domäne Wachau, which is a bit shorter and more correct.

Really good. I changed it:

The database shows the producer as "Freie Weingärtner Wachau / Domäne Wachau" (sorted as "Wachau / Domäne Wachau, Freie Weingärtner")
