Can you please delete http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=585183, it is a duplicate that I created of http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=565517

Also wine 565517 should be listed with a designation of "Il Dosso" with a new varietal of Barbarossa, whose master varietal should be Barbaroux.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbaroux

Here's a link to the producer's site for that particular wine. It looks like this is the only Barbarossa that they make so I'm pretty sure that Il Dosso is the appropriate designation. It doesn't say it on the site, but you can see it listed on the label just beneath the varietal name.

Looks like my edit was rejected, can anyone offer an explanation?
Actually it looks like my edit was applied, but there's still no Barbarossa varietal.

Here's some more info on the Italian Wikipedia:
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbarossa_(vitigno) (translated)

And at http://www.diwinetaste.com/dwt/en2003014.php

quote:

Our production also includes Barbarossa “Il Dosso”, a grape my father discovered again in the beginning of the 1950 in a very old Sangiovese vineyard that he planned of uprooting, and my father, while was checking the level of grapes' ripeness, noticed a “particular” bunch different from the one of Sangiovese; it was smaller as well as having small berries and an indented leaf having a purple border. Samples of this grape were analyzed by many experts in the aim of identifying it, unfortunately, no one was able to determine its species. They also researched the grape's DNA in order to find some clues that could identify it, but they did not find any similarity with any other grape, therefore, we decided to name this grape as “Barbarossa”, in honor of emperor Federico Barbarossa who lived in the castle of Bertinoro.

I did accept the change but didn't add the varietal. That is more of a pain. Fixed.
