There is an old Russian saying,
what you under apreciate you cry about after you lose it. I lost my bridge, the 4 units bridge I had for over 7 years. The new doctor in Florida fixed it and fixed and after pronouncing the poor workmanship of the previous doctor, he promissed all problems go away for at least 5 years for the price of...$5500.
I agreed. His superior workmanship lasted for ..6 weeks first time and 3 weeks the second time. I asked for money back, he said "Go find yourself a lawyer" (IDIOT, I don't have to go far, I am married to one)
Now we are heading to court, but AFTER I publish and develope

I just got back from implant surgery, as it occured to me very clearly in the last month without the bridge:
for us, wine geeks and foodies, teeth, oral sensations are very important part of life and probably are as important as sex. (Implants in Florida go for $3000 per unit, I think sex mailfunctions are much cheaper to cure!)

Guys, do not neglect your teeth like I did when I was young, as lack of them will bite you and bite you hard.

Serge,

What you mentioned about wine and food is what initally led me to be a dentist.

Can't help ya though -- I went in to pediatric dentistry.

Food for thought... Just like you ask your wine shop guy/or girl what they drink, ask the oral surgeon or periodontist who their favorite restorative dentist is. These folks have a good veiw; the good bad and ugly. Sorry if you got stuck with less than good.

Brandon, I didn't get stuck, I freed myself with the help of the internet:

the whole procedure ( 4 units) took...40 mins and I didn't feel a thing! I hope in 4 months I can chew thru Giraffe steak with no problems.
Side effect:
antibiotics for the next 8 days, no wine recomended and..
I have classmates from Russia coming for a visit, friends from New York coming too and few bottles are already stood up waiting for their arrival.

I'll drink but very moderately.

I only wish I had an American pediatric dentist when I was growing up, I say 90% of my dental problems in life would have been avoided!

A CEO of a small company I knew well had a great observation about dentists. Never go to one that has school aged childern. (Leads to all kinds of expensive stuff that may or may not be needed...)
