http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=538149 Fredonia Considered to be a close relation of Concord, this red wine grape is very winter hardy. A Native American labruscana hybrid, Fredonia ripens earlier than its relative, and is generally recommended for regions with short growing seasons. Typically wines made from the grapes of the vine have less flavor than Concord. The grape is most often recommended for jelly production and is excellent as a table grape. Fredonia is a parent of the Van Buren and Bath hybrids. http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=538195 Steuben Grape Details Mostly grown in the Eastern and Midwestern areas of the U.S., Steuben is a blue-black-skinned grape sometimes used to make mild, grapey, blush, or white wine. Often, it’s also used for juice and as a table grape. This American native labrusca, which is vigorous and hardy, resulted from a Wayne x Sheridan labrusca cross. Adapting easily to most locations, it generally ripens around the end of September.
