Hi, I have posted a few times, but haven't really introduced myself to the forum. MY name is Paul and I live in NH.  Just upgraded to a 166 blt cooler not quite filled yet. My interest currently are Reds, so I have focused in on those. Not a big budget so I have been checking TN on some of the wine easier on the wallet and giving those a try. Hoping to learn a lot more and I am sure will ask dumb questions from time to time so bear with me.

If you're fairly new to wine, you might consider exploring Australian reds.  They're often a good value for the money and are "friendly" wines - lots of fruit, not terribly tannic, and rarely earthy or green.  Most folks need a couple years to appreciate those latter qualities.

edit - Oh.  And welcome to the board, Paul!

I started w wine back in 95 or so,  friend in CA had contacts in Silver oak so I had the 94,95,96 and 98 vintages alexander valley Cab  and  used a 32 btl Haeir cooler, But I found that I just didnt have the room for good stuff  nor the resources like CT to review whats out there and make selections. Heck I still have some Col Crest Cab from 1996 still left was rated 91  I think back then ,
Now I can get more of what I like, try new stuff and expand my taste somewhat.

Yes... right....
there are no dumb questions...
question anything and everything...
as long as it has to do with wine.
I have learned this the hard way. lol
(though i have noted a loophole exists for infecting threads with "sexytime"... see serge for further details)

Welcome aboard the good ship Lollipop Paul
...where we sail around the world on waves of wine
