...is one of these wine serving systems found in wine bars that allow for multiple bottles to remain open for a long time without spoiling the wine.

You know, this kind of thing:

There is a company in Tuscany offering a system, but it is primarily designed for commercial use (although you may install it at home).

Does anybody know of other systems designed for home use? Does anybody have one of these? Are they worth it?

A wine bar in Oregon was going out of business a few years back and they had a unit, 4 or 5 bottles, that they were selling off for something like $500. If memory serves me, it was temperature controlled and had the Nitrogen blanket system. I kick myself for not buying it now, but at the time I wasn't thinking I would ever have more than 1-2 bottles open at a time. Now it just would have been nice to have the flexibility of drinking different varietals with meals, doing fun little horizontal tastings with friends, etc.

Note to self...stupid, stupid, stupid...

There are a few places in London that do this now - with some utterly superb wines (at about 100 pounds per dribble).

I can vouch that they are superb.  And depresssingly expensive if you are not careful.
